In “In three acts” the video piece by Zoe Schneidereit approaches in three stages, the gender variance in animals and how this affects her perception of her own gender and sexuality. The piece is enigmatic and filled with this energy and pace that grabs one’s attention where two minutes feel like 30 seconds.
As it is accompanied by both well-known and as well lo-fi music, it creates a bond with the viewer as these songs reconnect old links.
I have chosen this video art piece as it is honestly where I want my video pieces to evolve to. It has a sort of absurd but appealing narrative that is filled with humour.
