Declan’s works stood out to me because of the ambiguity, this makes his work quite non-restrictive to look at as there are many ways it can be seen. I like the main image he uses specifically; it looks like an image of water with lots of fine and deliberate detail and the closer you look you can see it’s a heavily digitally processed image of a figure. I love how it can be seen as something almost completely opposite of what it is. It looks complicated but up closely it can be seen for how simple it is, kind of like a metaphor for life.
